By George Franklin
The most profitable way to use an autoresponder is to capture the names and email addresses of prospects who have recently bought what you have to offer from your website. This is especially true for impulse buyers; buyers who make a purchase on the very first visit. Now, how do you use this fact to your advantage? Keep reading and you’ll soon find out…
It’s one thing to capture the names and email addresses of freebie seekers; people who don’t intend to buy anything, but sign up through your web form anyway, because this gives you a future opportunity to turn them into buyers. But what we want to look at right now is capturing buyers’ names and email addresses. The reason why capturing the contact information of recent buyers is so much more effective than capturing the contact information of freebie seekers is because half of the work is already done for you. You don’t need to convince them to buy into your offer, they’ve already done it. The only thing you must concentrate on is turning them into repeat buyers. You see, with freebie seekers, you must first convince them into buying whatever it is you’re selling, whether it be a product or service. Then, you have to work on turning them into a repeat buyer. However, with buyers, they’ve already proven themselves to spend money on your offers, and if your product or service is unique and provides the best of quality, there really shouldn’t be a reason for them not to buy from you again.
A simple technique to capturing buyers is to redirect them to a page that requires them to enter their first name and email address (or whatever you feel comfortable asking for) on the page right after they confirm their payment of your product/service. After that, just send them to the download page and wha-la! You’ve caught yourself a buyer.
From here you can continue to sell to them (not spamming) while, at the same time, providing them with killer information, special reports, and freebies. Just don’t lose sight of what’s really important. And that is to sell to your list. This list will be made up of proven buyers, so it won’t be hard to resell to them. Just be sure that all of the future products and services that you offer to your “proven buyers” list are of top quality and as good as the first product that you sold to them. A good way to determine whether they’ll enjoy a product/service is to offer your product or a free trial to your service to some of your friends and see what they think of it, or you could hop aboard an internet marketing forum and give it away to a few worthy internet marketers who can give you the feedback that can help improve your products/services. The point here is to ensure that your list fully enjoys every single product/service that you sell to them – this helps build a good relationship with your list and eventually, you’ll end up with the kind of the list that you can just sell to and make a couple extra thousand dollars with the touch of a button (depending on the size of your list).
Of course, you could take the easy way out and promote affiliate products to your list. The profit potential isn’t as high, but it beats constantly creating new products yourself. However, the higher profit potential is well worth the extra work.

A Fatal Autoresponder Error You Don't Want To Make
If you’ve been using autoresponders for a while, you probably already know the right way to use them. For just a quick reminder, autoresponders are used for: capturing the names and email addresses of your prospects so that you can easily contact them and sell to them in the future, building a responsive list, gathering subscribers for your newsletter, giving away a free report in exchange for their contact information, putting your business on auto-pilot and collecting residual income each month, etc… These are just some of the many great ways autoresponders can be used to launch your business into hyperspace. Knowing the right ways to use an autoresponder is important, but knowing the ways that you should never use an autoresponder is even more important.
One way, which can get you blacklisted by a lot of people, is to use an autoresponder for spam purposes. When prospects take the time to enter their first name and email address into a webform, they are expecting to get something of true value in return, whether it be a free report or valuable information. What they don’t expect is a bunch of new offers every single week that make over-the-top, far-fetched promises on how to make x amount of money in x amount of time, or to lose x amount of weight in x amount of time (depending on the niche you’re selling to). Using an autoresponder to sell to a list isn’t a bad thing, in fact, that’s one of the main reasons autoresponders exist – to sell to a list of prospects who have given you permission to contact them again.
Now, there aren’t really any limitations on how frequently you can sell to your list, but if you go overboard, you may end up with a bunch of unsubscribed leads. So instead, give your new subscribers something of value for free and continue to send them valuable information to their inboxes, while selling to them. What you say in your free reports/valuable information may warm them up for the buy. So not only are you building a good relationship with your prospects, but you’re also gaining the trust of your prospects as well – which makes it a lot easier to sell to them in the future.
Another way you should avoid using your autoresponder is to…well…not use it! If you stay too quiet and only contact your list a few times a month, they may start to forget about you, and that they ever signed up through your web form. You have to understand that your prospects have lives too. Most prospects are caught up in their own lives, so in order to build and keep an active, responsive list, it shouldn’t be more than 2 weeks in between your message intervals. However, don’t annoy your list by messaging them too much, just enough so that they’ll know it’s you when they do receive a message from you. A good way to keep them anticipating your next message is to tell them what’s to come at the end of each message, and make the information in your autoresponder series good enough so that they’ll be interested enough to read it in the first place.

Free Automatic Responder
By Yenn Kuah
You noticed, if you have surveyed the prices of automatic responder available in the market, that they do not come in cheap. So the next step would be to search for and use a free automatic responder for your marketing needs. You can use free automatic responder in certain situations, and in the world of Internet Marketing, any autoresponder, purchased or free, is better than not automatic responder at all!
There are many free automatic responder services to choose from. These services are free, because the company makes their money by placing a small advertisement in each message that your free automatic responder sends out.
Your first choice of a free automatic responder should be the one that comes with your web hosting account, if you have one. These free automatic responder can be set up easily through the control panel of your website, and they do not contain advertisements from the autoresponder company or web hosting service. If you do not have a hosting account, or your hosting account does not include free automatic responder, there are other options that you can choose.
Most free automatic responder have a limit on the number of subscribers you can have. Many people start out with the limited free versions, and then upgrade to the paid versions once their lists are large enough to exceed those limits. Many marketers don’t feel that the expense of the automatic responder is warranted until the list that they are building is turning a profit. From a business standpoint, this makes sense.
Many paid automatic responder services offer a free version as well. These free versions may or may not include advertisements in the outgoing messages and do not include many of the powerful features of the paid versions. But if you don’t need the more advanced features, this is a great choice.
As an online business owner, you are the only one who can decide whether you need a paid automatic responder service, or settle with a free version. If your list is still small, a free automatic responder system should do everything that you need it to do, but as your list grows, you should definitely consider upgrading to a paid version of the automatic responder. However, having the small advertisements that the free automatic responder service place in the outgoing messages may present a problem if the ads compete with what you are trying to sell. They may even pose a problem if they do not even directly compete with your product or business. Again, this depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your automatic responder.

Web marketers also use autoresponders especially for email marketing campaigns and for the development of their own mailing lists. There are actually many benefits when marketers use autoresponders. Here are five keys that you should consider so that you will excel in the use of these effective programs:
1. Have a good, enticing opt-in page. This is the page wherein visitors of your website would leave their contact details especially their email addresses. This page is very crucial because only when people leave the right contact details will they see the rest of your website.
2. Prepare pre-made responses. These should immediately be sent to each and every incoming message. The response is usually a quick thank you for the visit and to talk briefly about the product or service featured in your website.
3. Prepare follow up emails. Let these emails be sent via your autoresponders. These emails should remind the web visitor of the product or service and for them to go back to your website.

Advanced Ways to Make a Profit with Autoresponders
By Sean R Mize Platinum Quality Author
Do you know how powerful autoresponders can be? Think this: you can send e-mail messages every day to all your leads. This means tremendous increase in exposure, knowing countless are going to receive it. You can also depend on big increase in your sales.
But how do you make use of this method more effectively? Here are the best ways to advance and make a profit with autoresponders:
1. Make your e-mail as personal as possible. Take time to include your recipient’s name in the e-mail message as well as in the subject. As you know, everyone wants to be called by their name. It makes them feel too that they’re not only one of the figures. Adding personal touch to what is supposed to be automated can spell a big difference.
2. Test your message and proofread. You can test autoresponders to see if they are free of any errors and they can be sent right on time. You can also sign yourself up in autoresponders just like the rest of your subscribers. You can do the checking all by yourself. However, if you think that this will be too time-consuming, you can request someone to do this for you for a fee.
3. Accommodate removal requests. You can’t help it if there are others who want to be removed from your list. It may be a loss to you; however, it is still best to honor it. This is to avoid being called a spammer which will add more damage to your credibility.
4. Make everything simple. Don’t bother yourself with any fancy animation or complex HTML messages. E-mails in plain text can be just as effective as HTML ones. This will also have a higher chance of being read by those who have their HTML options turned off.
